Vacation in Galveston was a blast. Now we are back to the real world. Sydney started dance bootcamp today and she woke up this morning bright eyed and bushy-tailed ready to go! Jen took over 500 pictures on vacation and will try to narrow them down to the best of the best to share with you. Check back to see what we come up with.

Vacation!

Hi all, we are leaving in the morning for our Galveston vacation. We are excited to be spending time with Tom's extended family but very sad that RJ will not be joining us. Sydney will be staying for the full two weeks and Tom & Jen will be there for a week. We plan on going to Schlitterbahn and spending time at the beach. The Harbert's will come down from Houston to see us, we don't see them much since they went south on us! Love ya Jennifer! We are just about packed and ready to roll. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures for all to see.

Congrats to Sydney!

Sydney audtioned for dance company yesterday. The results were posted this evening on the website. She checked the site a couple dozen times today waiting to see if she made it and which company she would be in. She was sooooooo excited to see that not only did she make it again but she is in the 2nd level company "Shining Stars". We are very proud of our little dancer.

Latest news and upcoming events!

Sydney auditions for company on Saturday the 19th.
Jen's been making an egg costume for a figure skating friend of Sydney's.
RJ is at his dad's until next weekend.
Tom is working all the time in the punishing heat.

We like to watch tv together in the evenings: Wipeout, So You Think You Can Dance, and I Survived a Japenese Gameshow.

Sydney read her first book of the summer: Diary of a Wimpy Kid....it's very funny!

Sydney's social calendar is always full and complains when she has to entertain herself.

Tom

Works alot! Is currently addicted to Settlers on-line (thanks to his lovely wife!). Likes to read and watch sports. Fan of the local Dallas Teams. He's working on the new Cowboys Stadium being built in Arlington, along with other jobs that keep him really busy and very hot during the summer. He is always willing to detail just how wrong those darn tree hugging, commie card carrying, ignorant liberals are (love ya mom and dad).

Jen

Currently off for the summer. Is enrolled in two evening classes for the fall semister and will be working at Brockett for the 4th year this fall. Loves to read as you can tell by the list below! Also addicted to video games (currently Settlers on-line or Webkinz - yes, I have two that my kids gave me for Mother's Day!) Also, enjoys sewing and scrapbooking.

RJ

Loves soccer and video games. Will be attending soccer camp this summer (he can't wait). Reads only when he has too but has managed to read 3 books so far this summer. Will stay up all night and sleep 'til noon if you let him. Starts High School this fall (GASP!). Will watch sports for hours on end (unless he is playing them on the XBox 360). Has recently discovered he can play WII games on-line. Loves just about any type of fruit but not veggies. Thinks he and Ali are attached at the hip, you can't have one without the other.

Sydney

Dance, Dance, Dance....need we say more? She is the social butterfly of the family. Always has somewhere she wants to be with someone. She will be trying out for dance company again this year. Enjoys swimming, shopping, and eating also. Is taking 4 dance classes this summer to keep up her skills, learn new dance types and keep in touch with her friends! What more can a girl ask for? Loves to play board games and do art projects and crafts. Attended her first scrapbooking class this summer at the scrapbooking conventon and did really well keeping up.
